Ren Ci Charity Show 2007, jointly presented by MediaCorp TV Channel U and Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre, will be telecast ‘live’ on Channel U from the MediaCorp TV Theatre on Sun March 18, 2007 at 7.30pm. The repeat telecast will be on Sun March 25 at 1.30pm.
Hosted by Guo Liang and Quan Yi Feng, and outdoor host Dasmond Koh, Mark Lee and Lin Cuifang, the charity extravaganza will see local artistes showcasing their talents, skills, mettle and teamwork as they present a variety of dance, stunts, musical segments and more.
Performing local artistes include Zoe Tay, Adrian Pang, Vincent Ng, Ix Shen, Adam Chen, Nick Shen, Jaime Teo, Gurmit Singh, Michelle Chia, Priscelia Chan, Ezann Lee, Bryan Wong, Kym Ng, Chen Liping, Mickey Ho, Cavin Soh, Ben Yeo, Fiona Xie, Jeff Wang, as well as new faces Jiang Chen Xi, Pornsak, Lee Teng, Wu Luo Yi, newly-crowned SuperStar Daren Tan, Tan Diya, Sim Yun Ying, Nat Ho, as well as MiLu Bing’s Sam and Wei Qi. Fann Wong, who is busy filming, will be turning up at the event to show support for the worthy cause.
Foreign artistes MayDay, Nancy Sit, Law Kar Ying, Nan Feng and Chelsia Chen Qiu Xia have also agreed to come support the cause. This marks the first time in many years that Chelsia Chen is performing in Singapore. A popular singer-songwriter in the 1970s, Chelsia rocketed to stardom and music industry after winning the first prize at an amateur creative singing contest in 1975 in Hong Kong with a self-composed English song “Dark Side of Your Mind”.
Venerable Ming Yi will again be doing a daredevil item to tug at viewers’ heartstrings and rally for donations. Other performers include 60 students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and 40 volunteers from Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre.
